Michelle is a Colorado native whose family came to Colorado from Texas in the 1950s. She still fondly remembers feeding horses and cattle on her grandfather’s farm. She is the proud mother of one son, a graduate of Ithaca College, NY. Michelle attended Harvard Law School for post graduate studies.
Rah BOW ‘n. If you say it fast, it almost sounds French!
Michelle has worked with emerging businesses eighteen years in both the public and private sector. She began her career in the private sector, representing women coal miners in Colorado and Utah, and later served as a labor attorney and an Assistant Colorado Attorney General. Her experience includes working as a corporate law professor at Washburn University in Topeka Kansas.
She moved to Durango last year and chose to work more directly with professional services and other industry professionals and owners to strategically align their businesses with their passionate lives.
Specialties
At the firm, her focus is on business law, real estate, business transactions, reviewing contracts, franchises and the buying, selling and structuring of business entities.

Hobbies
For fun she enjoys theatre, poetry, reading, jazz history, and music in all its guises. Michelle recently discovered the San Juan Symphony, and is now addicted. Her personal life also revolves around hiking, writing and camping. Michelle is looking forward to learning how to cross country ski. She is passionate about international travel and has been to Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, West Africa, Spain, Amsterdam, Germany, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and many Caribbean islands. Careful about bringing that up though, as she will pull out photos with the least bit of encouragement.
